Well we are better than half way through the season and the turn outs have been pretty good. Woodlands is close to full but check with Bill we occasionally have cancellations. We still need people at Council Bluffs. The two day event is about half full now so if you are thinking about signing up give Bill a call or send in your entry form. Remember that the rule for the 2 day event this year is that you have to have played in 2 non scramble events before the 2 day so that a handicap can be established. We had our first event last week at Pacific Springs. It was a little cold but we had a great turn out with 124 players. We will be playing Iron Horse this week and Ashland next week. Both of those events are about full. We still need players for River Wild and Shoreline. Bent Tree is also looking for players assistants to work two shifts a week.  It is their intent to trade rounds of golf for this work.  The shifts are very flexible and do not involve much physical labor.  They would like to have as many guys as possible.  You can call Joe Madsen at Bent Tree 712-566-9441 to inquire about this work

The board has decided to try a new format in one event this year. We are going to have a 4 man low net team event at Fremont. The entry form will have space for 2 to signup and pay and a place on the form to reference the other 2 some that you want to play with. If you don't have a preference of the other 2 some to play with we will match you up with other 2 some's. Let someone on the board know what you think about this format.

The weather around here has been lousy for golf, but the board has been working hard to get next year's schedule set up. The schedule has been finalized and it is now posted on the Calendar of Events page please take a look. We have added a couple of new courses and we are returning to some of the favorites from last year as voted on by the survives that were turned in. We have 19 events this year 2 more than last year because we got a couple of opportunities we couldn't pass up. So if you have not sent in your membership for 2008 yet now is the time to get it done. Remember if you want to make sure your name is included in the membership book we need to have your signup by the first week in Feb.
